The Environmental Working Group (EWG) each year comes out with lists that tests the amounts of pesticides that remain on fruit and vegetables after they have been picked, power washed and stocked onto grocery store shelves. The EWG uses this information to compile lists for consumers to reference while they shop.
This year they have the Dirty Dozen and the Clean Fifteen

Thanks for educating and sharing all the helpful information. I wonder if Trader Joes organic raw almonds are ok ive been eating them for a while. Are they a safe and truly organic almond?
Hi-thanks for your comment. Stores that carry almonds sell almonds that may be organic, but not truly raw. If they carry the USDA certified organic then they are steam pasteurized but not chemically pasteurized.
