Raw, Organic & Nuts: Chia fruit smoothie recipe

Once you start incorporating smoothies into your diet- you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. Smoothies are are great way to eat extra vegetables or fruit lying around the house, that you may or may not get to eat before it goes bad!

Green smoothies tend to be much healthier than fruit or vegetable juices. When fruit juices are extracted, you get vitamins and minerals but no fiber. However,  if you make smoothies using fruits & vegetables,  you get  fiber in your drink and all the benefits of the nutrition from fruit and veggies!
Try this Sweet Chia smoothie:
yields  approx 20 ounces
 
12 ounces juice (orange or other)
1 plum
1 banana
handful of kale
2 tsp chia seeds
4-6 ice cubes
 
Mix, blend and enjoy!
